Turkuaz Restaurant got an "A"

The Health Department conducts unannounced inspections of restaurants at least once a year. Inspectors check for compliance in food handling, food temperature, personal hygiene and vermin control. Each violation of a regulation earns a certain number of points. At the end of the inspection, the inspector totals the points, and this number is the restaurant's inspection score—the lower the score, the better.

Starting in July 2010, New York City is requiring restaurants to post letter grades that correspond to scores that it receives from its sanitary inspection.

We are happy to share that on 9/21/2010, following our yearly inspection, The NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene awarded Turkuaz Restaurant with an "A" and we posted our grade proudly on our front window. This is a guarantee that not only do we strive for a  delicious taste when we prepare our dishes, but we aim for a clean and hygiene environment.
